On October 31, 2024, The Supreme Court of Georgia announced the Establishment of a Committee to Address the Civil Justice Gap.
In an order dated August 27, 2024 The Supreme Court of Georgia established a committee to explore regulatory reforms that would enable qualified non-attorneys to provide limited legal services to low-income residents who struggle to access legal aid. The committee will evaluate licensing, oversight, and disciplinary standards and review similar programs in other states to address this justice gap. Recommendation from the committee are due in June 2025.
